Summer Eligibility

International House serves as a residence for undergraduates in their junior or senior year of study, graduate students, postdocs, visiting scholars, and researchers. During the summer months, we house a variety of students of all academic levels, summer groups and conference attendees, and those attending Summer Sessions at UC Berkeley. We do not require I-House residents to be affiliated with UC Berkeley over the Summer. All residents must be at least 18 years of age for the duration of their stay at International House.

Summer Group Reservations

Advanced group booking requests are accepted for groups of four or more participants that are managed by one central contact person within the group’s organization who coordinates all aspects of the group members’ reservation with I-House. The group coordinator works directly with the I-House Admissions team to complete the reservation, sign the Agreement and arrange payment for the entire group.

Please be aware that spaces are not guaranteed until a Summer Group Reservation Agreement has been signed, payment in full has been received, a group participant list has been received by our team and all applicants have submitted their applications.

We are no longer able to offer linens.

Meals

The meal plan includes 19 meals weekly at International House Dining Commons (except holidays and other planned closures). The Dining Commons offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.
